Nel II° sec. a.C. Tolomeo I° Sotere, sovrano egizio, fece costruire, ad Alessandria d’Egitto, un edificio consacrato alle Muse, il MOUSEION, destinato agli ospiti del re:
-scienziati, filologi, poeti e studiosi dediti ad osservazioni specifiche e ricerche.
Nella struttura c’erano numerose raccolte di opere d’arte, statue, dipinti, papiri e curiosità relative alla natura, che venivano analizzate e catalogate.
Dobbiamo a Lorenzo il Magnifico la rielaborazione del termine antico nell’attuale: MUSEO. Un luogo che volle ricreare per le sue ricche e splendide collezioni. Per noi, amanti “dell’INSIEME” che ci circonda, proviamo meraviglia e forti emozioni alla scoperta del “Museo Terra” desiderosi di divulgare alle Nuove Generazioni la “ Civiltà del Bello” che ormai per molti (troppi) è una realtà velata da occhi distratti e disinteressati !

Dobbiamo a Lorenzo il Magnifico la rielaborazione del termine antico nell’attuale: MUSEO. Un luogo che volle ricreare per le sue ricche e splendide collezioni. Tolomeo 1st Sotere, king of Egypt; in the 2nd century b.C. made to build in Alexandria an edifice consecrated to the Muses, it was the MOUSEION, mainly designed to the king’s guests:men of science, philologists, poets and scholars devoted to researches and specific observations.
Into the building there were several works of art collections, statues, paintings, papyri and curiosities related to the nature, and they were analyzed and catalogued.We must thank Lorenzo the Magnificent for having revised the ancient word in the current one: MUSEUM. A place that he wanted to recreate for its rich and wonderful collections.
For us, lovers “of the ENSEMBLE” that surrounds us, we fell astonished and exited to the discovery of “Heart Museum” and are eager to spread to the New Generations the “Culture of Magnificence”, that by this time for many (too many) it is a reality veiled by inattentive and disinterested eyes!
